Standing Against Violence.

In India, since ancient times however women were not given freedom, and were humiliated at home and were considered as sign of unholiness, due to which they were and are treated as slaves, but according to the religion of Hinduism, women are Goddesses such as Laxmi, who is being worshiped.   On the contrary if women are being worshiped, then why are they ill treated in the society and community... ?

Each and every day, In the social media, we read, hear, and watch the violence against women. In India, According to the constitution Women have equal rights as Men but are the women being benefited from those rights ? Government provides reservations in schools, collages, institutions and offices, through which women can be benefited, then why are women deprived of such reserved seats ?

                           Violence against women.

Nearly, 3/4th of the women living in the society has to face violence in the society, some violence are minor but some are as major as rape and murder. Only few of the stories and cases of such Incidents come in front of us. but what happens to those which are hidden ?
We think such cruelty against women only happens in small villages and towns, but it is an mis-concept of the people. let me explain you with a short story.
Suzette Jordan, A girl living in the bright cities of Kolkata, who was  gang raped on February 2012 at park street, Kolkata. When she knocked the door of kolkata high court for justice, her case was ignored and was dismissed. The chief minister of kolkata who is also a women, herself stated that this incidence was an sanjana ghatna or a ''cooked-up story''. Suzette was also, neglected from the society, and was forcefully made to shift her house to another city. Where did the humanity of the people living in her society go ? Are  we all not responsible for the encouragement of the rapists ?

In India, people want bullet trains, super ways, luxurious facilities, for which they want to bring change but why don't they think about the changes to be brought in the society which are more important than the bullet trains and other improvements. As an Indian citizen, we all pledge that all citizens of India are our brothers and sisters but at the time of consequences we all step back. Where does our citizenship and brotherly responsibilities go that time ? As a citizen we all need to protect women of our society and country.

We always blame women , when they are persecuted, such as women do not wear decent clothes, women should not go out of the house at nights. but what if a small child is being violated ? lets look forward for our next story.
In a town called Badlapur in Mumbai, A small girl who was only 4 years old, She had recently joined school, in order to study, gain knowledge and fulfill her dreams, but one incident changed her whole life. An incident which was terrible than a night mare, One day when she was returning home from school in her school bus,  the bus conductor tempting her by giving a chocolate raped her. Now can we blame the child ? Indeed No. After this heart breaking incident no major action was taken against the rapist. As a result, can we call India as a prospering nation ?

Right for the birth of girl child.

Women not only have to fight against violence when they are grown big, but have to fight against their parents, right from the beginning, that is birth. Many times, If a girl child is born, she is killed by her own parents. Every person wants a Mother, Sister, wife but nobody wants a girl child. Some practices such as child marriage, In which small girls are forcefully married, with men way older than their age are still in practices in India. When asked to women, why dont you fight against such cruelty, their answer is - Women speak out, but they are not heard.

How can we bring change ?

A recent issue, 60 girls and women, were kidnapped in Nigeria, but very few countries stepped forward for their help. If a number of nations, would had come together for their rescue, not only the girls would have been saved but also other girls in future against such activity. The negligence of nations to this matter, clearly specified that they were afraid of those hand full of kidnappers. We see that nations Investing billions of Dollors for Ammunition, development projects and market shares but no body invest for the development and upliftment of women. The major cause of such violence against women is lack of education in the society. If we peep into these above cases, we would find the violator are conductors, tribals who are not educated, hence they have not gained knowledge as well as they have not gained moral values, because through education comes moral values. When ever such incidents occur, we protest and talk about it and forget it after some days. But what about the victim ? Instead of protesting, we can stop such incidents. here's one example, As charity begins at home, in the same way, we can bring change from ourselves, A maid who works in our homes cannot afford her childs education, but indeed we can help her. We can teach her child through week ends, this will not only help that child to prosper ahead but also help him be moral toward others in the society, This movement is as simple as ''Action speaks louder than voice''.

Hence, If we look forward to such changes, we can not only build a safe environment for our own sister but also for the thousands of sisters around the country and the world.

Re-Imagining School Life.

first day of school
The time spent in school is one of the best and most memorable times ever spent. The friends who were made at the beginning were sometimes doubtful but their friendship lasted till the last moment.

If we peep into our first day of school, we would imagine ourselves crying, not wanting to go to school but on the last day of school we too had tears in our eyes because we never wanted school life to come to an end. Wishing our friends, buddies and teachers good-bye is one of the saddest parts of school life. When we entered the classroom on the first day, for the first time we were nervous but on the last day we boldly stepped out of the school having the courage to face the upcoming challenges of life.

On the sendoff day, we all try not to cry but when the teachers say their best wishes, we all become emotional and tears falloff our eyes. It is very difficult to become apart from school and teachers after nearly spending ten to twelve years with them. The teachers who were not less than a mother to us, who treated us like their own children, become a part of memory for the remaining life time. Teachers add values to our lives. Teacher, one of the most important Gods creations, teacher is a treasure of lustrous knowledge, teacher is mass compassion, teacher always think for the welfare of the student.

The fun and enjoyment that we had in school cannot be bought by money or by anything else. The golden times of childhood and teenage which we spent in school cannot come back again. Students liked school not because of studies but because of fun and enjoyment. Students loved school more than their homes. We always pined for P.T. periods and recess bell to ring; the games, which we played at school ground, were simply unforgettable.

It is a strange thing that we always use to say, “When would school come an end” but when in reality school came to an end we wanted it to never end. Because we knew that, with school, fun, enjoyment, friends would also come to an end.

Walking back home from school

Most exciting part of school life is coming back from school with friends and hanging around with them on the streets, singing songs with friends in the bus and playing games, such as, pen fight to prove our pen is more expensive than others.

All intellect students use to like the science and mathematics periods but the last benchers use to hate such subjects. An amazing experience which everyone has experienced, during examination though the question paper was very difficult for us but we always exclaimed to our friends that it was so easy paper! When the results come out we always increased, our marks while telling it to our friends. The night before examination, scholars use think about what if any HOTS question while the mire students wonder about the person sitting on the bench before him.

We never like studying but because of the fear of failing we use to study. We always feel ashamed to ask our doubts to teachers in front of the whole class, because the fear that, what will our friend think of me troubled us. We never opened up in front of the whole classroom. We always desired to score good marks and when that dream came into reality, we were over whelmed with joy, we reach the moon out of joy.
students during examination

Before exams we all are tensed for the examination and we all work hard so that we score good marks. We have sleepless nights studying and struggling and the mental stress which we have to go through is undescribable but when the exams come to an end we forget all the pain and hard work and celebrate with our friends this what is the beauty of school life.
As we say- '' The Fruit of hard work is always sweet '', In the same If we have work hard but at the end the result is good...!

Unity in Diversity : INDIA.

                                              Indian Culture and Tradition.

The uniqueness of Indian culture is the diversity among the people. It is only in India that people from different region, religion, cast, class and language live, work, play, eat together. Several Indian culture and tradition which are being followed now are being followed since generations and generations. The tradition of touching the feet of elders and taking blessing and joining the hands and saying namaste are the traditions which are being followed since many years.

The qualities such as respectful, humble, hospitality, kindness, knowledge make Indian culture rich. Joining hands may seem a very silly act, but it show deep affection towards the person one is meeting. Family tradition such as arranged marriage in which the bride or bridegroom for the children in the house are chosen by the elderly family members of the house are still now followed. Though western cultures have an fare influence on India but the roots of Indian culture is still ferm in the hearts of the people.

Since, generations the most elderly male member of the house, is the head of the house and takes the financial responsibility of the house, while the mother takes care of the other responsibilities such nurturing and inculcating values. The grandparents in an Indian house, play an important role, they not only share their thoughts and values but also use their experience in the time of difficulties. It is only in India families that members of different generations live together, which is also called as joint family. This not only keeps the family intact but also makes the relationship among the family members good.

Religion:

In India, there are nearly 300 religions and more than 3 million Gods. People have different faith as well as different Gods to whom they worship, still there is no discrimination among the citizen. Almost every month has a festival which is celebrated by people joyfully. The main festival are, Gudipadva, Id, Ganpati, Diwali and Christmas. Festival like Raksha-bandhan are celebrated to make the relationship of a brother and sister more strong. Festivals of all religion all celebrated by all the people and in harmony.

States and Languages:

India is divided into 29 states and almost each state has their own language, In India more 150 languages are spoken and written but still the administration runs smoothly. People speaking different language mingle with each other and help others to understand them. Each state in India is different from the other, It is very colorful as well as rich in nature. From the Northern tip of India to the southern tip you all will find variety in the Cultures an Traditions, In food as well as clothing,In Family settlements and lifestyle. Sanskrit is considered the mother of all languages and this Sanskrit language is originally from India. Though the people living in India are divided by states but their heart is one, their soul is one, their intention one, that is work for the progress of India.

Food and architecture:

One of the important factors responsible for the development of the India, is the well flourished agriculture. In India agriculture is the occupation of the 45% population. Almost every food item grows in India. It is one of the biggest producers of rice in the world. The farmers are very hardworking as well as devoted to their work. It is because of their hard work that though India being so populated they demand for food grains are being met. Food plays an important role in the lives of Indians, everyone here likes to eat and feed others. Due to various Invasions on India in the pre-independence period, Indian cuisines are combination of Mughals, Turks, Portuguese and the Britishers. There is a vast variety in the Indian food items. some of the dishes are renowned all over the world.

In India their one of the most magnificent infrastructure, One of the best example is the Taj Mahal, which was build by Emperor Shahjahan. Taj Mahal is also also among the seven wonders of the world, Along with this building many adorable buildings such as forts, palaces, hotels and collages are present.
India Cannot be described in words, because as it is said,    "Better Experienced than defined.'' In the same way India alone is an Wonder which can be only experienced.

School : Poem by Doran Mondal.

                                                  School Journey.

           First day of school,
       Every thing was cool,

          Never wanted to go,
But finally seated in a row,

        Always in a plight,
      Brave and steady to fight,

  Working hard to score more,
      Doing so and got bore,

        Always wanted to be first,
But the studies made me burst,

        Well wishes of others,
    Also for my dear brothers,
                                       Though I was frightened,
                                      But at last enlightened.

Thank you Teachers and friends for making my school life so amazing - Doran Mondal.

The World: A Poem by Doran Mondal.

                               The World.

                The World is a wonder,
To put you in a blunder,

             Sometimes it makes you smile,
But Sometimes it makes you walk an extra mile,

         Though the up and down,
        Finally you get your crown,

       For your is the treasure,
       with the timely worldly pleasure,

Do not fall in a pit,
                                            But be careful a bit,

Don’t wait for the next chance,
But make it in the first glance,

     Don’t hope,
     Find a scope,

Life is like an ice cream,
Step ahead and fulfill your dream,

     Do your best,
And let God do the rest.

       - Doran Mondal.
           Thank you.
